Summertime Mode

Hello friends. I'm still in a summertime mode. And I'm thinking about our beautiful and pristine beaches...It's Holy Week and a long weekend here starting tomorrow. I will try visiting and photographing churches.

Gothic Architecture, Manila.
The only all- steel church or basilica in Asia. Wikipedia
Completed in 1891. Gustave Eiffel was involved in the design.

Is this a steel structure? Very beautifully designed with characteristics of Gothic architecture. I'm interested in what the inside is like.

Have a good time.

An all steel church? That is a new one for me. Beautiful house of God.

It's hard to believe that this beautiful church is actually constructed of steel. I really like your black and white picture.

Do you all have Maundy Thursday services and Good Friday services at your church? We do--and they are so meaningful, leading up to Easter Sunday... Hallelujah!!!

Gorgeous church... The architecture is awesome.

Betsy

That church had given me immeasurable comfort in my college days. I live in the alley behind it and this was our solace.

What an interesting church Regina!
I didn't know that there was actually a steel church in the world. Perhaps this is the only one on earth!
Have a blessed Holy Week! Tonight we will have Holy Supper as it is Maundy Thursday. Tomorrow I will watch St Matthew Passion by J.S.Bach.I watch it every year on Good Friday.
